VoIP - Technology, Risks and Benefits

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line.

Stable telephone communications is essential to many businesses. Companies could lose thousands, if not millions, in sales and revenues if the phone system went down for several hours. Executives taking on a VoIP project would also be concerned about potential telephone outages causing productivity loss, missed deadlines, and resentful employees and customers.

Joe Wolodkevich is the founder and President of intelligent technology solutions, inc. of Coxsackie, NY, which is a technology service provider specializing in both the small and mid-sized business markets as well as supporting the home user and their total computing and technology needs.

Joe has recently partnered i.t.s., inc. with Mid-Hudson cable to activate several new wireless networks in Columbia, Greene and Southern Albany Counties. The new networks will provide another layer of service for customers seeking mobile access to high speed Internet as well as Voice over Internet phones.

Prior to founding intelligent technology solutions, inc. Joe worked as the Executive Information Systems Manager for Ross Systems , Inc. and as the Chief Information Officer for Ulster County Community College.
